4th of July Company Picnic

This year we had a company picnic on the 4th of July. We got together around 2:00 at our house (the Fisher’s) to play some volleyball – an all-time favorite of the Integrity Team! It was quite hot in the afternoon, but we still had a lot of fun and cooled off with some Mocha Frappes and Cokes! Later we had a corn-hole tournament with the winning team receiving a $100.00 gas gift card! We really have some competitive players! That makes for a great tournament! 🙂 We drew names to assign the teams. After some fun, intense games and a few throwbacks to a score of 15, the winning team was Manny and Justin! Also, Uriah (our son) enjoyed keeping score for the tournament!

For dinner we grilled steaks and ate out on the back deck. Tim made a steak rub, and Mahlon manned the grill! My wife Mary completed the menu with mashed potatoes, mushroom sauce, salad, and strawberry cheesecake. Morgan brought mac & cheese, and Naomi, Mahlon’s wife, made a peach delight to go along with the dessert. It was a delicious menu! Our dog, Molly enjoyed hanging out around the good smells and friendly people!

Company Camaraderie

I think it’s important to do things together as a company outside of work. We’ve enjoyed things like our Monday Morning Team Culture Meetings (post coming soon!) but there’s something really good about enjoying each other’s company in a setting outside of work. We had the wives and children come as well, and it was good to see everyone. It turned out to be a great picnic. I see this as being a keeper for future company activities!

Summer – A Great Time for a Company Picnic

Summer is a great time to hang out as a company. There are a lot of options and activities to do outdoors. It was great to have a time to play some volleyball and corn hole. Don’t let the summer get away from you without enjoying its benefits!
