Integrity’s Project Highlights From 2017

Two Bathroom Remodels – Weyers Cave, VA

This project features a downstairs and upstairs bathroom remodeled in March-April of 2017. For this project, we worked on both bathrooms at the same time. The layout remained close to the same in both bathrooms. And they each received a custom tiled shower with new tile flooring. In the upstairs bathroom, we replaced the tub with a larger shower. Kitchen Addition in Harrisonburg, VA

We removed all the existing cabinets for the kitchen remodel. The new factory line cabinets were purchased from and installed by Bertch Cabinetry with a standard dark stain with shaker style cabinet doors. This also included full extension drawers with soft close slides and soft close door hinges as well.

On the east side of the kitchen, we put a twelve inch countertop overhang to create a small sitting area on that side of the kitchen. The overhang creates an open feel and provides a way to see the view out through the double glass doors in the dining area. Read more HERE.

Bathroom Remodel Improvements – McGaheysville, VA

This mid-summer project featured a couple different aspects. One was a refurbished bathroom door installed as a sliding barn door. Originally, the door had opened into the bathroom, making the bathroom feel smaller with less space. The sliding bathroom barn door allows for an open feel inside the bathroom and also adds a modern element with the sharp black trim.

We also installed a new cultured marble shower surround. At the shower base, we built a single step out of Teak wood. As a result, the shower stair now provides a safe, easy access. Click HERE to read more.

Large Home Addition – Stanley, VA

This was definitely one of our project highlights for 2017! We built this double story addition on the back of the existing home. The addition allowed for a large living area with a fireplace and a kitchen renovation that connects to the living area. The kitchen features a beautiful island, new cabinets, flooring, countertops, and lighting. The upstairs has two bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms and walk-in closets. We connected the small covered porch with the new addition room. We installed double glass doors leading from the room addition to the porch. Also, the gray siding on the outside addition matches the siding on the existing porch. We completed this project in just under four months – mid June to early October. Read more HERE.

Siding and Door Replacement – Staunton, VA

For this project we removed all the existing wood siding on the house. We installed house wrap and new Traditional 5 vinyl siding. We also installed new vinyl trims as needed for the vinyl siding installation. The existing vinyl soffit and fascia boards remained in place except for the areas that received new gutters.

For installing the new back door, we removed the existing 12′ back door unit. We installed a new Marvin Integrity Wood/Ultrex Sliding French door unit. Both panels slide open to create a double door unit opening. Read more about this project HERE.

Two Bathroom Remodels – Bridgewater, VA

The upstairs bathroom had an existing shower unit with brass trim. We replaced this with a new cultured marble glass shower surround and added new shower fixtures. For an updated look, we removed the existing vanity top in the bathroom and installed a new vanity top with a new faucet. The upper vanity cabinet was removed, saved, and then reinstalled after the vanity top had been installed.

On the downstairs bathroom, we removed the existing wall paper and repainted the bathroom a light blue. Given a few pieces of the original flooring strips, we matched the flooring and installed it to match the rest of the house. We replaced the sink vanity and light fixtures and also installed a new toilet. Click HERE to read the story behind the special painting on the wall.

Covered Screen Porch – Waynesboro, VA

We did this project in two weeks in September of 2017. The existing porch area was screened in and covered. The roof over the porch connects to the house roof. We tied in the roof framing and matched the roof shingles. And we installed siding on the gable end to match the house and installed soffit and fascia board to also match. The porch ceiling is a vinyl ceiling complete with an outdoor fan.

Screen porches are a great way to improve outdoor living space. They provide a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy summer evenings. In addition, screened porches are a great way to keep mosquitoes away while enjoying the outdoors. Read more about the project HERE.
