Urgies Cheesesteaks Restaurant Remodel
Remodel Details
This light commercial remodel for Urgies Cheesesteaks in downtown Harrisonburg was a unique and oftentimes tasty project! In order to allow for a food trailer to be added to the existing building, we excavated and installed a shed pad and gravel. We demoed and completely re-framed the interior of the structure, making the floor all one level and installing load beams. At the back of the building we installed an entry door, which allows for entry from the food trailer into the main building kitchen area. We re-did/added the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC necessary for the operation of the restaurant and installed insulation, drywall, doors, and trim. Because the current storefront was originally the side of the building, we created a more appealing entrance by added the front windows.
The Urgies Experience
The owners of the restaurant, Steve and Tommy Urglavitch, did most of the finishes to the project, crafting a unique character for the space. Everything from the beautiful wood slab bar and tables to the creative use of ladders for the light fixtures creates a rustic, inviting, and one-of-a-kind experience for visitors to the bar. Meanwhile, out in the food trailer you’ll find the makings of delicious Philly Cheesesteaks on the grill. Our team here at Integrity has enjoyed eating at Urgies numerous times and can highly recommend them as by far the best cheesesteaks in town! Head on over and try one!
