Company Updates
Wow, how does it feel to be living in historic times? COVID-19 has turned life upside down for just about everyone, and our team joins many others in praying for all those affected.
We wanted to give you a quick update on how Integrity and our family have been impacted.
Since the construction industry has been considered essential in our governor’s order, we are so thankful to be able to remain open. Our suppliers and subcontractors have also remained largely unaffected, so we are continuing normal operations for the most part. Our field crew are taking extra precautions to sanitize and remain healthy, and our office team has been working remotely part of the time. We’re so grateful to be able to offer financial stability to our employees and small sector of the economy during these turbulent times.
As is the case for nearly everyone, our family has been spending a lot of time at home lately. Our daughter Jordan is finishing out her senior year of high school online at Blue Ridge Christian School. Since he’s homeschooled, our son Uriah has also been able to continue schoolwork, although he may not be thrilled about it.:) We’re thankful for all the outdoor space on our property to relieve the cabin fever!

In other company news, our team member Justin worked his last day here at Integrity last month. We have missed him tremendously these last several weeks, but we’re so excited to see him step into a new season and venture. A few years back, Justin and his wife bought property in Shenandoah County, which meant he had a 35-40 minute drive to the shop. He has now gone to work for a friend of mine who owns BlueHawk Builders. He lives really close to where Justin and his wife live. No more long drives to the shop every morning for Justin!
The picture to the left was taken at Urgies Cheese Steaks several weeks ago as we celebrated Justin’s last week with us.

What was your first job?
Manny: My first job was working at the farm next door to the farm I grew up on. Not different from what I was used to but the first paid job other than my own farm chores…
Mary: My first paying job (after babysitting) was working at the Harmony Square Dairy Queen.
Gerald: I worked at Cargill seeds, and we would cross pollinate corn to try to produce a better strand of corn.
Jared: My first job was as an Orthodontist Sterilization assistant.
André: My first paid job was cutting brush and bailing hay at a neighboring farm.
Mahlon: My first job was at 11 years old helping my uncle on the farm after school and in the summertime. I also mowed lawns for some neighbors at that time.
Kaitlyn: I started a landscaping business when I was 11. I employed my siblings, and we weeded, spread mulch, and trimmed bushes.
